Isabella, Annie and Margot are three actors living in Melbourne who just can't seem to catch a break in the industry. Though the women are very different from each other they are bound by the shared experience of being aging women attempting to navigate the perilous terrain of gaining work in the industry. Each has their own struggles. In a final, desperate attempt to win some fortune; optimistic Margot drags the disinterested Annie and Isabella into a slightly unusual and uncomfortable experience to gain "Professional Development."
